It’s official, I’m an Ex-President

Jon Burgess is now an Ex-President.

A fun couple of years has come to an end, as I pass the Presidency of AAF-Inland Empire to Jacob Poore.  Most importantly AAF has led me down the road to some great new friendships, helped me with ideas, moved me forward as a marketer, and I have been lucky to attend the past three AAF AdMerica! conferences (lots of fun).

Networking is at the top of my list for my AAF experiences, which will continue to be valued for years to come. Whether it was the Las Vegas boys, Andres & Ed; with Palm Springs’ one man band Ethan Kaminski or our District leader Bill Houck; the San Diego crew who throws the best Interactive Day; too many to name from the Western Region; or whether I sat next to you during the National ADDY’s, shared a beer with you at the many AAF “breaks”, or stuck up a relationship while ordering from a food truck.  Thanks.

In our I.E. club, I have to mention two important people that have been the thrust of my growth within the AAF over the past 3 years.  Mark Landon, who always has had time, sound advice and is truly dedicated AAF’s success.  And John McCarthy, who has been the club’s rock over the past 4 or so years, has always answered the phone and continues to put a hand to help anyone in need. Thank you very much.

With that – I’ll still be on the board, and I am excited about our new board, http://aaf-inlandempire.com/about/2011-board/, and you should of course read our press release, http://aaf-inlandempire.com/2012/06/29/aaf-inland-empire-names-incoming-board-for-2012-2013/.
